About Us

Within Neurochemistry, we conduct clinical routine operations, pharmaceutical and academic studies, as well as vibrant research. The laboratory is environmentally certified and accredited, with a strong emphasis on quality work, development of our operations, and the introduction of new analyses. The operations are conducted in close collaboration with the research activities and individuals employed at the Department of Neuroscience and Physiology at the University of Gothenburg. Approximately 100 people work in the Neurochemistry facilities.

The Neurochemistry unit offers a stimulating work environment with good development opportunities. We provide a wide variety of laboratory tasks, which are carried out in close collaboration with all sections within the unit and the University of Gothenburg. We care about everyone's development and offer tasks based on competence and personal ambitions.

We are now looking for a laboratory staff member with documented experience of working with high quality and precision.

About the Job

You will work with a broad spectrum of analyses for Alzheimer's disease, both commercial and self-developed for the diagnosis of degenerative brain diseases. The work includes sample handling, analysis, and evaluation of results for our neurochemical markers. The analyses are both semi-automated and manual.

Qualifications

You have a university degree and documented good biochemical knowledge as well as laboratory experience. A prerequisite is that you can express yourself clearly in speech and writing in Swedish and handle the Office suite. Experience with clinical studies and handling immunochemical methods as well as Mesoscale, Lumipulse, Simoa, and Cobas instruments is advantageous.

You need to have good collaboration skills, be able to work accurately and methodically. We consider it significant that you are flexible and service-oriented and have well-developed social skills. We are looking for a person with an engaged, positive work approach, and great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
